INTRODUCTION

Chemical spill and splash are far more common occurrences than the public generally realizes. Accidental chemical spill and splash can happen at any time and may cause acute and chronic detrimental health and environmental effects. This risk can be identified, controlled and minimised by adapting to a well planned chemical spill and splash handling team and procedure. This training module is designed for individuals who are involved in chemical handling at their workplace and hazard management (HAZMAT) team who are delegated for chemical spill and splash handling responsibilities. DOWNLOAD BROCHURE / REGISTER

OBJECTIVES 

At the end of the course the participants will be able to: 

  • Learn the correct and safe way of handling, storing and disposing chemicals and its wastes at their workplace
  • Understand the C&WSDS (Chemical & Waste Safety Data Sheet) elements
    and the usability
  • Assist Organization in developing a Chemical Safety Program
  • Guide Organization on the techniques and procedures to avoid and prevent chemical related accidents or illnesses
  • Know the safe and correct way of responding to Chemical & Waste Spill
  • Know the way to manage schedule waste in accordance with EQA 1974
    (Scheduled Waste Regulation 2005)
